Prairie Plains Resource Institute has been celebrating the land and its people since 1980! A nonprofit educational land trust, we’re dedicated to creating opportunities on the land for people of all ages. We offer a full calendar of events on our seven Nebraska prairie preserves, consultation for landowners and agencies regarding high-diversity prairie restoration, an award-winning nature day camp for elementary students and much, much more.
Prairie Plains Fun Run
Please join us on Saturday, June 4th, for the Prairie Plains Fun Run/Walk at Gjerloff Prairie, four miles west of Marquette, Nebraska. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., the Run begins at 9 a.m. and the Walk at 9:05. The course is a mowed prairie trail through 275 acres of beautiful tall-grass prairie. That's 25 years of getting kids outside for an up close look at the awesomeness of Central Nebraska and the Platte River. Youth Naturalist Program
Middle school and high school students (grades 7-9) looking for a great outdoor adventure this summer should check out our amazing Youth Naturalist Program June 20-24, 2016!
